So we learned today that U.S. employment plunged by 598,000 in January, the largest monthly decline since December 1974. Although one should be careful to normalize such numbers--there is a much larger workforce today than in 1974--these numbers are striking. Yeah, it is really quite sad to see the numbers keep plunging as they have been and to hear the news constantly reporting on layoff's and what not.
I can not believe how hard the construction industry has been hit, that is a lot of lost jobs.
